About Clocked

Clocked is a New Zealand owned and operated video game and film trading website established in 2009. The primary goal of the Website is to provide a safe online venue where game and film owners are able to trade (swap) items.

8 Great Reasons to Use Clocked

  1. Clocked is a free online video game and movie trading website for New Zealand and Australia. We don't charge you to sign up. We don't charge you to list your items. We don't even charge you for successful trades.
  2. Clocked is simple and intuitive. There is no messing around with a confusing points system that ranks games arbitrarily.
  3. Clocked offers an optional service to provide added security to trades. It's called SafeSwap and is available to ALL Clocked members.
  4. As a Clocked member, you can make multi-trades. For example, you can swap your video game for several others if you think your game has greater value, and vice versa.
  5. As a Clocked member, you can make inter-console trades. That means you can swap items from different consoles or movie platforms. For example, if you are getting a new console and ditching your old console, you can swap your old console games for new console games. You can even swap games for movies, and vice versa.
  6. Clocked has its own forum where you can share your thoughts and opinions about anything and everything in the world of gaming and movies.
  7. Clocked runs promotional competitions and deals with cool prizes.
  8. Kiwis and Aussies can use Clocked. Since most games and movies are compatible in New Zealand and Australia, and trans-Tasman postage is reasonable, we welcome members from both sides of the Tasman. This means you have more choice.

How Clocked Works

Using Clocked is easy. There are five simple steps in order to complete a trade (swap):

  1. Join – Become a member of Clocked for free by providing your name, a valid email and postal address.
  2. List – List your games and films on Clocked for free. You can upload up to 3 photos per listing.
  3. Browse & Offer – Find games or films you want and make an offer to trade (swap). You can even make a multi-trade or inter-console offer. For example, if you are selling your console, you could trade (swap) your games for movies. If you are upgrading your console, you could trade (swap) your old console games for new consoles games with someone who has both consoles.
  4. Accept / Negotiate / Decline – Wait for your offers to be accepted, negotiated or declined. At the same time, accept, negotiate or decline offers made to you.
  5. Send & Receive – Send off your old game(s)/film(s) and wait for your new game(s)/film(s) to arrive. You can also use SafeSwap  which (i) provides added security for your new game(s)/film(s) to arrive safely, and (ii) ensures that your postal address is not disclosed to the other party.

About Feedback
Please give feedback about your trading experiences. Placing feedback is quick and easy. Members can place feedback about a member they have traded with upon acceptance of the offer.

Reviewing a trader's feedback and trading history prior to making or accepting an offer helps you make informed decisions. A member's feedback can be used as an indication of a trader’s behaviour. There is a link to the full history of a member’s feedback under the User Information section on the details page of any listing. Also, SafeSwap is a service offered to provide added security to trades.

Listing

To place a listing, click “List” on the menu bar and follow the instructions. You must be a member of Clocked and reside in New Zealand or Australia. You may only list one item per listing. You may only list Zone 4 DVDs and HD DVDs and Region B Blu-ray Discs.

When adding images to your listing, ensure the main image is of the front cover and the second image is of the game open, clearly showing the game and its manual in the case.

There are currently no listing or success fees.

Listers must ensure that their listings comply with the Clocked Terms and Conditions. Review the Banned Content page for information about items you cannot list.

Finding Items

There are two ways to find items on Clocked.

  1. Browse – You can peruse the listings by console, category or first letter of the title.
  2. Search – You can search for a particular item using a keyword. You can also narrow your search to a particular console or category by using the advanced search option.

Save items to your watchlist by clicking the “Save to Watchlist” button displayed on each listing. You must be signed in to do so. You can also delete items from your watchlist when signed in.

Making an Offer

Only registered members with listed items can make offers.

  • Click the “Offer a Trade” button on the detailed listing page of any listing.
  • Use the Trading Matrix, which shows your current listings on the left and the other member’s current listings on the right.
  • Select the items you wish to offer and the other member’s items you want.
  • Click the “Submit” button.

An email will be sent to notify you when the other member accepts, declines or negotiates your offer. You can change your email notification options in the Settings section when signed in. When your offer is accepted, you will receive the contact details of the other member. You and the other member must then make the appropriate arrangements to carry out the trade.

Clocked Fees

Clocked currently charges zero fees for membership, listings and successful trades. However, Clocked reserves the right to introduce/amend its fees at any time, without notice.
