SafeSwap™
What is SafeSwap?

SafeSwap™ is an optional service offered by Clocked to its members to make trades safer. SafeSwap reduces the risk of you losing your games/films. It does this by introducing a third party (Clocked) to a trade. Your incoming items are sent to Clocked. Once Clocked has received those items, you are notified by email to send off your outgoing items. At the same time, Clocked sends you your incoming items.
It works like this:
Scenario One
When you are the only trader using SafeSwap:
- Your incoming games/films are sent to us. You do not need to disclose information about your postal address to the other trader.
- When your incoming games/films arrive with us, we let you know via email.
- You send your outgoing games/films to the other trader and we send your incoming games/films to you.
Scenario Two
When both you and the other trader are using SafeSwap:
- You send your outgoing games/films to us and the other trader sends your incoming games/films to us. You do not need to disclose information about your postal address to the other trader.
- Once all the games/films have arrived with us, we let you both know via email.
- We send your incoming games/films to you and your outgoing games/films to the other trader.
Please review our SafeSwap Policy for information about terms of use and refund policy. SafeSwap is currently not available for trades where both parties reside in Australia.

Once signed in, click on SETTINGS in your user menu:

SafeSwap Fees
Clocked Limited currently applies the following SafeSwap fee schedule (GST inclusive) for NZ residents:
Standard Post:

Please note if you are receiving five or more incoming items per trade, your incoming items will be sent to you in two or more parcels. Each parcel will be charged a separate SafeSwap fee (according to the fee schedule set out above). The total SafeSwap fee will be the sum of the individual SafeSwap fees charged on each parcel.
For example, if you are receiving five incoming items and you choose Track & Trace as your postal method, the total SafeSwap fee will be NZ$20.00 (NZ$12.00 charged on the first parcel plus NZ$8.00 charged on the second parcel).

SafeSwap is currently not available for trades where both parties reside in Australia. Please note if you are receiving eleven or more incoming items per trade, your incoming items will be sent to you in two or more parcels. Each parcel will be charged a separate SafeSwap fee (according to the fee schedule set out above). The total SafeSwap fee will be the sum of the individual SafeSwap fees charged on each parcel.
For example, if you are receiving eleven incoming items, the total SafeSwap fee will be NZ$30.00 (NZ$15.00 charged on the first parcel plus NZ$15.00 charged on the second parcel).
Paying for SafeSwap
In order to use SafeSwap, you must change your account settings to "Always use SafeSwap" or "Ask me if I want to use SafeSwap". Once an offer has been accepted, you will receive an email with a link to complete the SafeSwap information process. Alternatively, you can go to your Trade History page from the Trading Zone and click on the "PAY SAFESWAP" link under Successful Listings. All you have to do is select your postage method, confirm your delivery address and pay the SafeSwap fee using our secure online payment gateway. You must do this within 48 hours of the offer being accepted.
Clocked uses DPS's Payment Express for all SafeSwap transactions.

SafeSwap Refunds
Please review the SafeSwap Policy for information about our terms of use and refund policy.
You are eligible for a SafeSwap fee refund (less Clocked Limited's administration fee (if any)) if:
- you have been charged a SafeSwap fee (following electing to use SafeSwap);
- Clocked Limited has not received your item(s) from the sender within 7 days of the exchange being agreed; and
- you request a refund in writing prior to Clocked Limited receiving your item from the sender.
If within 14 days of the exchange being agreed, Clocked Limited has not received the item from the sender nor any request from you for a refund, Clocked Limited will automatically refund you the SafeSwap fee (less Clocked Limited's administration fee (if any)).
To apply for a SafeSwap fee refund, download the SafeSwap Fee Refund Application, fill it out and send it to the Customer Service address on the help page or as an email attachment to support@clocked.co.nz.
